You’re not looking for a moving company that talks a good game. You need one that shows up when they say they will, quotes you a real price, and doesn’t turn your move into a nightmare.
Here’s what that looks like: your belongings arrive intact. Your walls don’t get dinged up. The crew doesn’t disappear halfway through or suddenly demand more money because “things took longer than expected.” You get a straight answer when you call, and if something goes wrong, someone actually picks up the phone.
We handle residential moves, commercial relocations, packing services, and junk removal across Blue Point, NY and the surrounding Long Island area. Small apartments to large homes. Office furniture to pianos. If it needs to move, we move it. And if you need it done today, we can usually make that happen.
All Terrain Moving and Junk Removal Inc. is a family-owned moving company based right here on Long Island. Matt and Scott Young run the operation, and they’re the ones you’ll talk to when you call. Not a call center. Not someone reading from a script.
We’ve built our reputation on being the company people call when they need help fast or when another mover let them down. Blue Point has a tight-knit community, and word travels. We know that. So we don’t cut corners, we don’t play games with pricing, and we don’t send a different crew than the one you were promised.
Licensed and insured. Local. Available for same-day moves when you’re in a bind. That’s the short version.
First, you call or message us with the details. We ask about the size of your move, what you’re moving, where you’re going, and when you need it done. Then we give you a real quote based on that information. Not a lowball estimate that triples later.
If you book, we confirm the date and time. We show up on time with the right equipment and enough crew to handle the job. If you’re packing yourself, we load. If you want us to pack, we bring the materials and take care of it. Either way, we protect your floors, wrap your furniture, and move everything carefully.
Once we’re loaded, we drive to your new place and unload. We put boxes and furniture where you want them. We don’t just dump everything in the garage and leave. When the job’s done, you pay the agreed price. No surprise fees. No “oh, by the way” charges at the end.
If something breaks or gets damaged, we handle it. We’re insured, and we don’t dodge responsibility.
Ready to get started?
We offer residential and commercial moving services across Blue Point, NY, Suffolk County, Nassau County, and Queens County. That includes local moves, long-distance moves, packing and unpacking, furniture disassembly and reassembly, and specialty item moving like pianos, pool tables, safes, and fragile antiques.
Blue Point’s housing market has a median sale price around $721,000, and many homes here are older with narrow staircases, tight doorways, and layouts that require experience to navigate. We’ve moved enough families in and out of these homes to know how to protect your property and your belongings during the process.
We also handle junk removal, which is helpful if you’re downsizing, clearing out a home before selling, or just need to get rid of furniture and debris after unpacking. One call covers both services. You don’t need to coordinate with multiple companies or wait weeks for availability.
Whether you’re moving a studio apartment or a 10,000-square-foot home, we scale to fit the job. And if you need us today, call early. We do same-day moves when our schedule allows.
It depends on the size of your move, how much you’re moving, and how far you’re going. A small one-bedroom apartment might cost a few hundred dollars. A large house with multiple floors and specialty items will cost more.
We don’t use bait-and-switch pricing. When we give you a quote, that’s what you pay unless you add services or items that weren’t part of the original estimate. We don’t tack on mystery fees at the end or suddenly charge more because the job “took longer than expected.” If we quote three hours and it takes four, that’s on us to manage efficiently.
The best way to get an accurate price is to call us with details. Tell us what you’re moving, where you’re going, and what help you need. We’ll give you a real number, not a range that means nothing.
Yes, if our schedule allows. Same-day moves are common for us, especially during the week. People call because another company canceled, they need to be out of a place by end of day, or something came up last minute.
We can’t always guarantee same-day availability, especially during peak moving season in the summer. But we do our best to accommodate urgent requests. The earlier you call, the better your chances.
If same-day isn’t possible, we’ll tell you the soonest we can get there. We won’t string you along or promise something we can’t deliver. And if you’re in a real bind, we’ll try to connect you with someone who can help if we’re fully booked.
Yes. We’re fully licensed and insured to operate as a moving company in New York. That means if something gets damaged during your move, you’re covered. It also means we follow state regulations for how we operate, how we price, and how we handle claims.
A lot of people don’t ask this question, and they end up hiring unlicensed movers who disappear when something goes wrong. Or they find out after the fact that the company has no insurance and no accountability. Don’t skip this step.
Ask any moving company you’re considering for proof of licensing and insurance. If they hesitate or give you a runaround, that’s a red flag. We’ll show you our credentials upfront because we have nothing to hide.
We serve all of Long Island, including Suffolk County, Nassau County, and Queens County. That covers towns like Patchogue, Sayville, Bellport, Brookhaven, Ronkonkoma, Smithtown, Islip, and everywhere in between.
If you’re moving within Long Island or from Long Island to another part of New York, we handle it. We also do long-distance moves outside the area, depending on the destination and timing.
Being local matters because we know the area. We know which buildings require certificates of insurance ahead of time, which neighborhoods have parking restrictions, and how to navigate tight streets during busy times. That saves you time and hassle on moving day.
We offer full packing services if you want them. We bring the boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and packing paper. We pack your kitchen, your closets, your fragile items, everything. Then we load, move, and unpack at the other end if you want help with that too.
Or you can pack yourself and we’ll just load and move. A lot of people prefer to pack their own personal items and have us handle the heavy lifting and furniture. Either way works.
If you’re packing yourself, do it right. Use sturdy boxes, don’t overpack them, and label everything. Weak boxes fall apart during the move, and unlabeled boxes create chaos when you’re trying to unpack. We’ve seen it a hundred times. If you’re not sure how to pack something fragile or valuable, ask us. We’ll walk you through it or just handle it for you.
Yes. We move pianos, pool tables, gun safes, antiques, artwork, and other items that require extra care or equipment. These aren’t things you want to trust to a crew that’s never handled them before.
Pianos are heavy and delicate. One wrong move and you’ve got a damaged instrument and a scratched floor. Pool tables need to be disassembled, moved carefully, and reassembled correctly or they won’t play right. Safes can weigh hundreds of pounds and require special equipment to move safely.
We’ve done this enough times to know what we’re doing. We bring the right tools, take the right precautions, and move these items without incident. If you’ve got something unusual or valuable, tell us upfront so we can plan accordingly.
