You have two options: basic carrier liability, which is included and covers 60 cents per pound per item, or full value protection, which costs extra but covers replacement or repair at current market value.
Basic liability is free, but it doesn’t give you much. If we damage your $2,000 couch that weighs 150 pounds, you’d get $90 under basic coverage. Full value protection would cover the actual cost to repair or replace it.
