When we arrive at your new place, we unload, unpack if that’s part of your service, and make sure everything made it in one piece. If something didn’t, you’ll know right away—not three weeks later when you finally open that box.

Every long distance move includes transportation, loading, unloading, and basic liability coverage. That’s standard. What separates a good move from a nightmare is everything else.
You can add full packing services if you don’t want to spend two weeks wrapping dishes and labeling boxes. We bring the materials, pack everything properly, and label it so you actually know what’s in each box when you get to the other side. If you’ve got specialty items—pianos, antiques, gun safes, pool tables—we handle those separately with the right equipment and extra care.
For North Bellport residents moving out of state, Florida and Texas are the most common destinations. Both are about 1,200 to 1,500 miles depending on where exactly you’re going. That usually means a three-to-five-day transit window. If you’re heading west to Arizona or Nevada, add another day or two.

One thing to watch for with any long distance moving company: if the quote sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Some companies lowball the estimate to get you to sign, then hit you with extra fees on moving day when your stuff is already on the truck. We don’t do that. The number we give you is the number you pay unless you add services or change the scope.
Most long distance moves take between three and seven days from pickup to delivery, depending on how far you’re going. If you’re moving to Florida or the Carolinas, expect three to five days. Texas is usually four to six days. West Coast moves can take a full week.

If you need your stuff faster, we can prioritize your load and do a direct delivery instead of a consolidated move. That costs more, but it cuts the timeline down. If you’re flexible and want to save money, we can add your belongings to a consolidated truck heading in the same direction. That might add a day or two, but it’s a cheaper option for people who aren’t in a rush.
Every interstate moving company is required to offer basic liability coverage, which covers 60 cents per pound per item. That’s not much. If a 50-pound TV gets damaged, you’d get $30. That’s why most people add full-value protection, which covers the actual replacement cost of damaged items.
We recommend full-value protection for long distance moves because there’s more handling, more time in transit, and more opportunity for something to go wrong. It’s not expensive—usually a few hundred dollars depending on the total value of your shipment—and it’s worth it for peace of mind.
If something does get damaged, you file a claim right away. We document everything during the walkthrough and at delivery so there’s a clear record of condition. The sooner you report damage, the easier it is to resolve. Most claims get settled within 30 days if you have the right coverage and documentation.
You can do either. Some people prefer to pack themselves to save money and stay involved in the process. Others would rather pay to have it done right and save the time and stress. We offer both options.
If you’re packing yourself, we’ll give you a list of what materials you need and some guidelines on how to pack fragile items, heavy items, and awkwardly shaped things. You can buy boxes and packing materials from us or source them yourself. Just make sure everything is packed and ready to go on moving day.
If you want us to pack, we bring all the materials and handle everything from start to finish. We’ll wrap your dishes, protect your furniture, box up your closets, and label everything clearly. It usually takes a full day or two depending on the size of your home. Packing services add to the cost, but they also reduce the chance of damage and save you weeks of work. For most long distance moves, it’s worth it.
Yes. Any company doing interstate moves is required to be licensed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and have a USDOT number. We’re fully licensed, bonded, and insured for long distance moving.
You can verify a moving company’s license by checking their USDOT number on the FMCSA website. If a company can’t or won’t give you their USDOT number, don’t hire them. That’s a red flag for scams or unlicensed operators who won’t be held accountable if something goes wrong.

Yes. Pianos, pool tables, gun safes, antiques, artwork—we move all of it. These items require different equipment and extra care, so we handle them separately from your standard household goods.
Pianos get wrapped, padded, and secured on the truck so they don’t shift during transit. Pool tables get disassembled, and the slate is packed carefully to avoid cracking. Heavy safes need special dollies and sometimes extra crew members to move safely. We’ve done this enough times that we know what works and what doesn’t.
If you have specialty items, mention them during the walkthrough so we can plan for the right equipment and crew size. These items usually add to the cost because they take more time and care, but it’s worth it to make sure they arrive in the same condition they left. The last thing you want is a cracked slate or a scratched piano after a cross country move.
