All Terrain Moving started because two brothers got tired of watching people get burned by companies that looked legitimate until the truck was loaded. That was over 15 years ago. We’re still here, still based in Islandia, and Matt still handles the quotes himself.

First, you call or fill out the form and talk to Matt. He’ll ask about what you’re moving, where it’s going, and when you need it there. You’ll get a written quote based on weight and distance, not some hourly estimate that means nothing once you cross state lines.
If you accept, we schedule a date. If that date changes because closings get delayed or life happens, we work with you. On moving day, the crew shows up, loads everything properly so it doesn’t shift during transport, and gives you a timeline for delivery.
Your belongings get tracked. You get updates. When the truck arrives at your new place, everything gets unloaded and you check it off. If something’s wrong, you have a licensed, insured company to hold accountable, not some LLC that formed three months ago.

Long distance moves are priced by weight and distance, not by the hour like local moves. For most families moving out of East Quogue, you’re looking at somewhere between $2,500 and $6,000 depending on how much you’re taking and where you’re going. A two-bedroom house to Florida is different than a four-bedroom to Texas.
The price you get quoted upfront is what you’ll pay, assuming the inventory doesn’t change significantly. That means if you tell us you have 20 boxes and it turns out to be 50, yeah, that’ll cost more. We give you a delivery window when we book the job, and we don’t load your stuff onto a truck with three other families’ belongings. You get tracking updates during transport, and if something changes, you hear about it before it becomes a problem.
If your move is time-sensitive because of a closing or a lease start date, tell us that upfront. We’ll let you know if we can hit it or not. We’d rather be honest about timing than promise something we can’t deliver and leave you scrambling on the other end.
We reschedule. It happens all the time, especially in East Quogue’s market right now where deals are moving fast and buyers are pushing timelines around. As long as you give us reasonable notice, we’ll work with you to find a new date.
If you’re stuck between a move-out date and a move-in date and need storage in between, we can help coordinate that too. It’s not ideal, but it’s better than scrambling to find a solution the day before you’re supposed to be out.
The key is communication. If you know things are shifting, let us know as soon as possible. We can’t always accommodate same-day changes, but we’ll do what we can to make it work without penalizing you for circumstances outside your control.
Yes. We’re licensed for interstate transport and carry full insurance coverage. That’s not a given in this industry. A lot of companies operate under questionable licensing or use brokers who farm out jobs to whoever’s available, and that’s where people get burned.
If something gets damaged or lost during your move, you’re covered. You’re dealing with a real business that’s been operating out of Islandia for over 15 years, not some fly-by-night operation that formed last month and will dissolve the second there’s a claim.
You can verify our licensing yourself if you want. We’ll give you the numbers. Most people don’t think to ask until something goes wrong, and by then it’s too late.
Yes. We handle pianos, safes, antiques, and other items that most moving companies either won’t touch or will charge you an absurd amount to deal with. These items require specific equipment and experience to move safely, especially over long distances where they’re going through more handling and road vibration.
If you’ve got something like this, mention it when you’re getting the quote. It affects how we load the truck and what equipment we bring. A baby grand piano gets secured differently than a couch, and a 600-pound gun safe isn’t something you just hand-truck up a ramp.
We’ve moved plenty of high-value and awkward items out of East Quogue homes over the years. If it fits in a truck and can be moved legally, we can handle it.
Start by getting rid of anything you don’t actually want to pay to move across state lines. Long distance pricing is based on weight, so the less you’re taking, the less you’re paying. If you haven’t used it in a year and don’t love it, sell it or donate it before the movers show up.
Pack a separate bag with anything you’ll need immediately when you arrive: medications, important documents, chargers, a change of clothes. Your stuff might arrive the next day or it might take three days depending on distance. Don’t pack your toothbrush in a box that’s going on the truck.
Label your boxes by room and keep an inventory list. If something does go missing, you’ll know exactly what it was. And if you’ve got anything valuable or irreplaceable, consider moving it yourself. We’re insured, but some things you just don’t want to risk.
