First, you call or fill out a form. We ask about what you’re moving, where you’re going, and when you need it done. If you need same-day service, we’ll tell you if we can make it happen.
On moving day, the crew shows up with a truck, blankets, straps, and dollies. We wrap your furniture, disassemble bed frames if needed, and load everything carefully. No extra charges for that—it’s part of the service.
Once we’re at your new place, we unload, reassemble what we took apart, and put things where you want them. If something needs to go into storage instead, we handle that too. When we’re done, you walk through with us to make sure everything’s accounted for.
That’s it. No surprises, no damage, no runaround.

You get a trained crew, a fully equipped truck, and all the materials needed to protect your belongings. That includes furniture blankets, shrink wrap, straps, and dollies. We also disassemble and reassemble furniture as part of the standard service.
If you want packing help, we offer that too. We bring boxes, tape, and packing materials, and we pack everything from your kitchen to your closets. Or you can pack yourself and just hire us for the heavy lifting—it’s up to you.
North Sea is part of Suffolk County, where 82% of housing units are owner-occupied. A lot of moves here involve downsizing, estate cleanouts, or relocations to senior living. We handle specialty items like pianos, safes, and antiques regularly. If it’s heavy, fragile, or awkward, we’ve moved it before.
We also offer junk removal and short-term or long-term storage if you’re between homes or need to clear space before listing a property.
Most local moves are charged by the hour, and the rate depends on how many movers you need and how much stuff you’re moving. A small apartment might take two movers and a few hours. A four-bedroom house could take a full crew and most of the day.
We don’t charge extra to wrap furniture or disassemble beds—that’s included. If you want packing services, that’s an add-on, and we’ll quote it separately based on how many rooms and how much you want us to pack.

Yes, if we have availability. Same-day moves happen more often than you’d think—another company cancels last minute, a closing date changes, or a family emergency comes up.
We keep our schedule as flexible as possible so we can handle those situations. Call as early in the day as you can, and we’ll tell you if we can fit you in.
Same-day service costs the same as a scheduled move. We don’t upcharge for urgency. If we can help, we will.
Yes. We’re fully licensed and insured, and we carry the proper coverage to protect your belongings during the move. That’s not optional—it’s required to operate legally as a moving company in New York.

Yes. We move pianos, gun safes, pool tables, antiques, and other specialty items regularly. These require different equipment and techniques than standard furniture, and our crew is trained to handle them.
For example, moving a piano isn’t just about strength—it’s about balance, padding, and knowing how to navigate stairs or tight doorways without damaging the instrument or your walls. Same with a 500-pound safe.
If you have something unusual or particularly valuable, mention it when you call. We’ll make sure we bring the right equipment and allocate enough time to do it safely.
We serve all of Suffolk County, Nassau County, and parts of Queens. North Sea is right in our service area, and we’re familiar with the neighborhoods, the roads, and the types of homes here.
A lot of our work in North Sea involves moves to or from other parts of Long Island, or helping retirees downsize and relocate. We also handle moves to storage facilities or between properties during estate settlements.
If you’re moving locally or within the region, we can handle it. For long-distance moves outside the area, we can discuss options and refer you to trusted partners if needed.
During peak season—May through August—book as early as you can. Weekends and month-end dates fill up fast, especially in summer when most people move.
If you’re moving during the off-season or mid-month, you’ll have more flexibility. We’ve scheduled moves with just a few days’ notice plenty of times.
