Off-season and weekdays are easier. If you’re flexible and can move on a Tuesday in October, you’ll have a much easier time getting scheduled. And if you’re moving anything fragile or valuable, let us know ahead of time so we can plan for it. A heads-up about the antique mirror or the glass dining table makes a big difference in how we load the truck.
For a one-bedroom apartment, usually 3 to 5 hours. A three-bedroom house can take 6 to 8 hours, sometimes more if there’s a lot of furniture or if we’re dealing with stairs, long carries, or narrow hallways.
It’s not just about the size of the place—it’s about access. If we’re moving you out of a third-floor walkup with street parking only, that’s slower than a house with a driveway and garage access. Same goes for the destination. Co-ops with elevator reservations and loading dock rules take longer than a single-family home.
We don’t rush. Rushing is how things get broken and how people get hurt. We move efficiently, but we’re not cutting corners to shave an hour off the clock. Clear a path. If we’re moving furniture out of your house, we need to be able to get to it without climbing over boxes or squeezing past bikes in the hallway. The easier you make access, the faster we move.
